The Retail team at Arthur Rank Hospice play a vital role in raising essential funds for our Charity, our Retail Hub in Pampisford is a treasure trove of pre-loved items and furniture. Due to continued growth within the team, we have a fantastic opportunity to join us as our new Deputy Hub Manager.
We have a part time role available working 15 hours per week. Both roles will work on a rota basis which will include weekends (the hub is closed on Sunday's.)
As our Deputy Hub Manager, you will play a key role in the running of the Retail Hub, working closely with the Retail Hub Manager to achieve sales targets, objectives and KPI’s along with supporting the charity’s wider retail strategy.
Main duties will include:
- Managing the ongoing supply and rotation of stock donations along with identifying new income streams and opportunities
- Support the Hub team (staff and volunteers) to ensure the delivery of excellent customer service
- Creating and maintaining a safe working environment for staff, volunteers and customers
- Supporting our team of van drivers with collections
We are looking for a shop manager who understands the importance of community and loves working with and supporting people. You will bring your innovation to manage and drive income in the hub, motivating others through regular communication and engagement.
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience of working in a similar retail environment with experience of income and expenditure reporting.
Due to the nature of this role there will be an element of manual handling and physical activity involved. Lone working may also be required from time to time. Candidates are required to be physically capable (with reasonable adjustments for disabled candidates) of meeting these job requirements.
Please note our Hub operates 6 days per week and our colleagues work on a shift basis which will include weekends.

Starting salary of £24,937 with opportunities to progress to £26,598.

We have an exciting role to join our innovative and publicly acclaimed Palliative Hub Team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
This is a part time role working 30 hours per week, the role will primarily be performed from home and we can be flexible with the contract base being either Cambridge or Wisbech. This role can be performed from home and is for someone who can work across a 7-day period, providing 24 hours a day advice and support as part of a rota. It is a requirement of the role to visit the hospice at least on a monthly basis.
Our Palliative Hub service provides specialist palliative and end of life care to any adult (age 18 or over) who is registered with a GP within the Cambridge and Peterborough Integrated Care Board via a telephone advice line and through NHS 111 service. We help end of life patients to receive care and support throughout the Cambridgeshire area. The enhanced services provide a single point of access (SPA) through a centralised hub for: patients, families, carers, health and social care professionals.
The aim of the telephone advice line is to support patients in the community to remain in their usual place of residence for as long as it is appropriate and safe to do so. Providing support for patients, carers, and healthcare professionals with the aim to avoid unnecessary or unwanted acute admissions.
A key element of this service is to appropriately clinically manage telephone calls from out-of-hour services, on-call doctors (HUC), the East of England Ambulance service, and other community services for patients, their families, and carers.
Please note, this is not a patient facing role.
A successful Clinical Nurse Specialist in this position will be expected to holistically assess, plan, implement and review therapeutic interventions of patients who contact the palliative Hub advice line by telephone, helping to avoid unnecessary hospital admissions.
Willingness to learn as a qualified non-medical/independent prescriber is essential, unless you already have the relevant qualification

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Hospice at Home Team! This is a Community role based from the Alan Hudson Centre in Wisbech, working in patients homes across Cambridgeshire. We have full time position available working 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis.
As a Registered Nurse you will work as part of a friendly and passionate team to provide professional, patient centred palliative care, ensuring the highest possible standards of care are received by patients, their families and carers. You will lead, support and encourage the sharing of knowledge and skills within the team.
The Hospice at Home service cares for patients across Cambridgeshire who choose to remain in their own home in their last weeks of life. We are holistic in our approach and the care is tailored to each person’s specific needs. The compassionate team of Nurses and Healthcare Assistants provide practical and holistic care supporting patients and their families in their homes. You will work directly and alone with patients and families in their own homes, on a shift basis over 7 days.
