Associate Priest HfD to Cornhill with Carham & Branxton & Agriculural Chaplain
The Bishop of Newcastle wishes to appoint an Associate Priest (House for Duty) to the Benefice of Cornhill with Carham and Branxton and Agricultural Chaplain in the Deanery of Norham
Might God be calling you to serve in these friendly parishes in an area of outstanding natural beauty in North Northumberland, serving both church and agricultural communities? We are praying for a priest who will re-invigorate our worshipping life, and help our churches to be outward-looking towards the wider communities.
Main Responsibilities
- To be a lively and engaged presence in the worshipping communities and beyond, helping the parishes to thrive.
- To further encourage and enable lay leadership.
- To develop local outreach to farmers, making best use of buildings and of financial and human resource and building on existing engagement beyond the church.
We seek a collaborative, enabling leader, possessing the wisdom, creativity and enthusiasm, to help us to be the churches which our communities need, a priest with a real love of rural life and a vision for rural ministry.
