| Role Summary Assisting the Head of Scenic Art in producing Scenic items to a high standard. | |||
| Contributing to the safe and efficient running of the Paintshop. | |||
| Main Responsibilities Taking a hands-on role in painting and texturing scenic items under ● | |||
| instruction from the Head of Scenic Art Working to design and installation deadlines as per production and ● technical schedules Working long or anti-social hours as required to meet deadlines where applicable | |||
| Contributing to the safe operation of the paintshop and working practices Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment with some housekeeping duties | |||
| Assisting in Construction workshop or Props dept when called upon to do so Creating paint samples and purchasing materials if requested | |||
| Ensuring that sustainable methods are considered, developed and implemented where possible | |||
| Working alongside casual,freelance, student and apprentice colleagues, instructing or taking a lead where necessary • Attending relevant production and design meetings where required | |||

Person Specification
You must have…
• Experience of working in a busy Scenic environment
• Proven ability to produce a high standard of work
• Ability to take direction
• Ability to work from scale models and technical drawings
• Good knowledge of scenic tools and materials and techniques
• Evidenced ability to adhere to tight deadlines
• Flexibility, adaptability and diligence
