Renaissance Choir
The Renaissance Choir, one of the leading non-professional chamber choirs on the South coast, seeks a new Music Director to take up post in September 2026, following the retirement of the current post-holder after 34 years.
The Renaissance Choir is an auditioned SATB choir of around 30 members. Rehearsals take place at the Emsworth Community Centre, PO10 7DD, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm on Friday evenings.
We put on at least four (and often five) concerts in S.E. Hampshire and West Sussex, and rehearse around 40 times a year. We present a varied, ambitious repertoire ranging from the Renaissance through to contemporary works.
We are looking for a dynamic and empathetic individual with the skill to build on the existing high standard of performance of the choir, to develop the musicianship of its members, to help attract new singers, and to ensure continuing audience appeal.

Fakenham Choral Society (FCS) is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Music Director from 23rd March 2026.
We are a registered charity formed in 1973, well established in the local community with a membership of 90 drawn from across north Norfolk. Although we have no formal auditions, our members are experienced choral singers used to four part harmonies. FCS has broadened its repertoire from the core choral works to pieces from Britten to Will Todd via Purcell and Hammerstein. The choir produces three concerts per year (hiring in orchestra and professional soloists) plus a very successful Come and Sing event.

We are seeking candidates who have:
• excellent musicianship with established conducting experience and an understanding of the classical and contemporary repertoire
• positive interpersonal skills to enthuse and instruct the choir
• Clear direction to a choir with mixed musical knowledge
Key responsibilities:
• work closely with the committee
• plan the music programme each year in consultation with the committee
• plan and lead weekly 90 minute rehearsals on Tuesday evenings during term times (September to June) arriving in good time to prepare and consult with the accompanist to lead rehearsals for and conduct concerts
• prepare and lead an annual come and sing day
• prepare singers and musicians to ensure readiness for each concert including sectional rehearsals
• support and promote the development of our choir members
• be responsible for sourcing soloists and instrumentalists in conjunction with the committee

Heart of England Singers, a registered charity, is an enthusiastic group of amateur SATB singers who meet weekly during term time in Marston Green, Birmingham. Membership does not require an audition or an ability to read music.
We are inviting applications for the role of Musical Director, with the appointment commencing as soon as practicable, and no later than September 2026. The Heart of England Singers are searching for an inspiring and dedicated Conductor/Musical Director who can guide our enthusiastic choir into a new and exciting phase.
You will be someone who:
Wants to lead a group of singers in exciting repertoire choices and interesting concerts, which will satisfy your creativity as well as theirs.
Knows about the voice and is able to develop the choir’s sound in innovative ways.
Is able to teach music effectively to a mixed group, catering for the non-reader as well as the more capable, ideally developing reading skills and musicianship
Is able to conduct the choir in an engaging way and knows how to encourage the singers to connect with their audience
Realises that laughing and having fun when rehearsing is the best way to learn.
Rehearsals are on a Monday evening from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at St. Leonards Church, Elmdon Road, Marston Green, Birmingham, B37 7BT.
The choir gives three/four concerts per year: the Easter and November concerts typically feature more serious repertoire while the summer concert is lighter in style. The December carol concert has a varied programme of choral items and audience carols.
The choir currently has around 35 members. The choir has a committee, led by a supportive Chair, to facilitate the organisation of the choir; and the MD/conductor forms part of that committee. There are approximately four committee meetings a year.

Reading's Trinity Concert Band currently have vacancies for percussionists. We have a regular kit player, so the majority of the playing would be on tuned percussion. If you play to a high standard, have previous ensemble experience and can commit to weekly rehearsals and regular concerts, we’d love to hear from you!
We are a non-auditioning band, but to assess your suitability we’ll invite you along for a four week trial period to see how you get on. If we are mutually compatible you will be invited to join permanently.

One of the UK's leading non-professional community wind bands, Trinity Concert Band entertain audiences in and around Berkshire with our high quality concerts featuring music to suit all tastes. Our repertoire includes classical transcriptions, original wind band compositions, music from stage and screen, and light popular music. We perform up to five formal concerts a year at venues in Reading and Wokingham, and summer brings the opportunity to put on light performances at bandstands across the area.
We are regular entrants at the National Concert Band Festival, a day long festival of music where bands are judged on their performance. In April 2018, the band travelled to Manchester where we were thrilled to be only one of two bands to receive the coveted Platinum Award!
Our annual full-day workshops give us the opportunity to take on some new, challening repertoire under the direction of a guest conductor. Previous conductors to take our workshops are Nigel Hess, Rob Wiffin and Duncan Stubbs (both were formerly Principal Director of Music, Royal Air Force) and David Cole (former Director of Music, The Royal Marines Band Service, and assistant producer of the annual Festival of Remembrance).
We've previously toured to Germany, the Czech Republic and Malta, with plans to tour again in the near future.

Introduction “The Governing Body leads and directs the RSL to achieve good outcomes for its tenants and other service users.” Regulatory Standards of Governance and Financial Management, Standard 11 1.1 This role description has been prepared to set out the responsibilities that are associated with being a Governing Body Member (GBM) of Ardenglen Housing Association (AHA). Mercy Corps’ Sudan crisis response seeks to meet the humanitarian needs of vulnerable Sudanese and other conflict-affected people across the country. Mercy Corps Sudan is recognized as a leader in market systems, agricultural, and food security and building on this experience, the MC Sudan humanitarian program will layer in resilience and other program activities where appropriate and feasible to do so. Consultant Objectives:
The Sudan Policy & Advocacy (PA) Advisor will lead efforts, in collaboration with the Sudan country team members, and the Global Policy and Advocacy (GPA) team, to ensure effective policies and practices are implemented by local, regional and international actors to allow for an adequate, effective, and principled humanitarian and resilience response in Sudan.
The Sudan PA Advisor will lead on achieving the policy and advocacy objectives that align with the Mercy Corps Sudan country strategy and related country advocacy strategy. They will work closely with field teams and different internal Mercy Corps departments including program, communications, partnerships, and Crisis Analysis – Sudan teams to utilize all available resources and data to provide evidence to enhance Mercy Corps’ policy and advocacy objectives. The Sudan PA advisor will also work closely with relevant country team members to build and/or strengthen their advocacy capacity, ensuring they have the skills, knowledge and confidence to lead advocacy activities.
The Sudan PA Advisor will write policy-relevant documents - including talking points, statements, and policy briefs - for use by the Mercy Corps Sudan team as well as regional and global teams during advocacy engagements on Sudan. The Sudan PA Advisor will also work closely with the global P&A team to provide key messages and help respond to questions/requests about the situation in Sudan, our programs and recommendations on certain issues, to prepare global colleagues for relevant Sudan-related meetings and engagements. The Sudan PA Advisor will represent Mercy Corps Sudan in relevant fora including the Sudan INGO Forum Advocacy Working Group, supporting collective advocacy efforts in line with the Mercy Corps Sudan Advocacy Strategy.

- Update the Mercy Corps Sudan Advocacy Strategy and Key Advocacy Messages based on current context analysis, priorities and recommendations, in close consultation with relevant team members, and keep the Advocacy Calendar and Sudan Contact Database up to date.
- Ensure the Advocacy Strategy is implemented and reviewed bi-annually, drawing on Mercy Corps’ experience and program expertise.
- Proactively coordinate with relevant Mercy Corps Sudan team members including DoPs, program and PAQ managers, communications and Crisis Analysis-Sudan to enhance linkages between PA and other teams.
- In line with objectives and indicators identified in the Sudan Advocacy Strategy and collective advocacy strategies and efforts by the different fora, collect information from Mercy Corps’ programs to use for policy and advocacy purposes to ensure Mercy Corps’ advocacy is informed by field-based evidence.

The Proposal Writer(s) will work closely with the Mercy Corps LAC region team, which supports humanitarian and development programming across countries and islands in Latin America and the Caribbean. Mercy Corps is currently operational in Colombia, Guatemala, Haiti, and in various jurisdictions across the Caribbean (including Jamaica, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, the US Virgin Islands, and others), with ambitious goals to expand its programmatic footprint in Central America and beyond in the coming years. The Proposal Writer will play a critical role in bolstering the LAC region’s aggressive business development efforts, by assisting various country teams with the execution of high-quality proposals in response to requests for proposals and notifications of funding opportunities by various institutional, multilateral, and private donors. The Consultant(s) will act as lead writer(s) for concept notes, full proposals, or cost modification proposals.
The Proposal Writer(s) will be tasked with working closely with Mercy Corps country offices, the LAC regional team, and global teams to design and develop competitive proposals based on field research, consultations with key internal and external stakeholders, input from technical and business development experts, and a thorough design process.
