As a local charity, we rely on the support and dedication of volunteers to help us provide vital care and support to our patients and their families. We need your help to make our Hospice possible. We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly and passionate volunteers to help us leading our teams within our charity shops.
What you will be doing:
If you are looking for a role in retail with additional responsibility, this is for you. You’ll support the Shop Manager to run the shop, learn to understand charity retail and its processes. You’ll help to train new Volunteers, ensure the shop stock levels are good and offer great customer service to our customers.
You’ll work with the Shop Manager to cover the shop in their absence, providing supervision support to the other Volunteers, opening and closing of the shop as a key holder and be able to complete daily cash procedures. You’ll assist the Shop Manager with marketing, merchandising, encouraging interest, customers and Volunteer recruitment for the shop as appropriate. This would be an ideal role for someone with transferable skills or who is looking to develop themselves with additional responsibility.

- Highly motivated, enthusiastic and a positive attitude.

What you will be doing:
You will help us to raise hospice funds through a variety of events and initiatives including working with schools, local fundraising groups and attending our Hospice led events.
With a passion for all things St. Barnabas, you will gain a broad knowledge and understanding about us which will help you to communicate and engage with our supporters whilst supporting at events.
There will be a variety of roles to suit your interests that will help us to deliver outstanding events, for example assisting with event set up/clear down, preparing resources for events, selling merchandise, registration of participants, stewarding participants, helping with refreshments and other tasks depending on the event; all of which will make a real difference to us!
This will all provide you with invaluable experience should you be looking to move into this area of work.

What you will be doing:
You will support with the collection, distribution and organisation of our charity collection boxes. With a passion for our Hospice and palliative care for our patients and their families, you will gain a broad knowledge which you can communicate and engage with our supporters whilst out and about in your local community.
As this role will require you to drive your own vehicle, you will be able to claim to cover your expenses so that you are not out of pocket.
What you will need:

The Legacy and In Memory Manager is a pivotal and rewarding role within the Fundraising and Marketing team at St Barnabas Hospice. You will lead the development and delivery of our Legacy and In Memory strategies, with a clear focus on growing sustainable income during an increasingly challenging economic climate.
This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, calm, and confident in supporting people at sensitive moments in their lives. You will ensure that every supporter who chooses to give in memory of a loved one, or through a gift in their Will, is treated with the utmost kindness, dignity, and respect. Stewardship will be at the heart of everything you do, ensuring supporters feel valued and connected to the impact of their generosity.
Reporting to the Head of Fundraising and Marketing, you will work closely with Fundraising Managers and colleagues across the organisation to ensure plans are aligned, insight-led, and supporter-focused. You will champion and celebrate legacy and in memory giving both internally and externally, helping to raise awareness of the vital role these gifts play in enabling hospice care across Lincolnshire.
You will be accountable for an income target across Legacy and In Memory giving. This will involve understanding the market in which you operate, including the motivations and drivers behind this type of support, and using insight to inform strategy, campaigns, and stewardship activity.
You will be confident in working with senior managers, directors, and trustees, as well as building strong external relationships with solicitors, Will writers, and professional advisers. Through these partnerships, you will help secure long-term, sustainable funding and ensure St Barnabas Hospice can continue to provide compassionate care to people living with life-limiting and terminal illness throughout Lincolnshire.
You will champion and celebrate legacies and in memory giving - internally and externally - raising awareness of the importance of legacies to our work showing the difference these make to lives of people affected by a life limiting or terminal illness throughout Lincolnshire.
