Responsibilities of our Deputy Adoption Centre Manager:
Work with the Centre Manager, ensuring the required level of employee cover at all times and to provide effective cover in the absence of the Manager
Ensure the welfare of all cats in our care and ensure that all administrative and maintenance procedures are completed to a high standard that is in keeping with our vision.
To plan and direct the activities of the cat care employees in agreement with the Centre Manager
To handle the homing and accepting of cats and kittens and ensure completion of the necessary forms and ensure minimum veterinary standards are carried out by a suitably qualified person.

What we’re looking for in our Deputy Adoption Centre Manager:
Supervisor/team leader experience, ideally within an animal welfare environment or organisation
A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
Knowledge of the prevention and control of infectious diseases in cats
A driven, positive and enthusiastic individual with plenty of initiative and the ability to thrive under pressure
A full UK, manual or automatic driving licence as you may on occasion be required to drive centre vans

Responsibilities of our Digital Video Production Officer:
- Support with filming and producing high-quality, engaging video content for digital channels
- Work closely with welfare teams to ensure content adheres to cat welfare standards
- Work with Brand and Marketing to ensure content is in line with brand and welfare guidelines

What we’re looking for in our Digital Video Production Officer:
- Experience working in a professional video production role
- Previous professional video editing experience, using professional video editing programmes such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, Final Cut Pro X, DaVinci Resolve or similar
- Experience of working to house style/brand guidelines
- Experience working in a digital marketing team, as part of a large organisation
- Strong understanding of the role of video in today’s digital marketing landscape

Community Operations is responsible for the delivery of all of Cats Protection’s cat facing services

Community Operations helped over 191k cats in 2014 and helped neuter over 250k cats in the last 18 months
The team consists of up to 2000 people, including around 200 employees at our Cat centres and up to 3000 volunteers
What we’re looking for in our Regional Community Operations Manager:
Significant operational leadership experience within the charity, public, or community‑based service sector
A confident communicator with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders
Experience managing and delivering complex community‑based services or projects at a regional or local level
Proven line‑management experience of dispersed teams in a fast‑paced, multi‑site environment
Knowledge of the animal welfare sector (including differences across the devolved UK jurisdictions)
Hold valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle

Responsibilities of our Deputy Adoption Centre Manager:
Work with the Centre Manager, ensuring the required level of employee cover at all times and to provide effective cover in the absence of the Manager
Ensure the welfare of all cats in our care and ensure that all administrative and maintenance procedures are completed to a high standard that is in keeping with our vision.
To plan and direct the activities of the cat care employees in agreement with the Centre Manager
To handle the homing and accepting of cats and kittens and ensure completion of the necessary forms and ensure minimum veterinary standards are carried out by a suitably qualified person.

Our adoption and homing centres care for thousands of cats each year until they are able to find a loving new home.

What we’re looking for in our Deputy Adoption Centre Manager:
Supervisor/team leader experience, ideally within an animal welfare environment or organisation
A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
Knowledge of the prevention and control of infectious diseases in cats
A driven, positive and enthusiastic individual with plenty of initiative and the ability to thrive under pressure
A full UK, manual or automatic driving licence as you may on occasion be required to drive centre vans

Responsibilities of our Research Scientist – Epidemiology:
lead and support epidemiological research on domestic cat population related projects both internally in Cats Protection and in collaboration with academics and other organisations
increase the knowledge and data on the health, disease dynamics, risk factors, and/or welfare issues in various cat populations
About the Research team:
The Feline Welfare Research Team are a small but growing team of six scientists, who sit within the wider Cat Welfare department. The team supports the organisation in improving our understanding of feline welfare both on a population and individual basis across a range of disciplines including epidemiology, demography and welfare assessment.
The team are responsible for providing the charity with scientific expertise. They undertake and facilitate ethically sound domestic cat welfare research of high scientific rigour, ensuring Cats Protection resources are focused on projects that will bring greatest benefit to the charities research priorities and consequently have the greatest long-term impact on domestic cat welfare.
What we’re looking for in our Research Scientist – Epidemiology:
previously undertaken epidemiological, clinical, veterinary and/or animal welfare studies including first author publications
PhD (i.e. viva completed and all corrections approved) in veterinary medicine, biological science, biostatistics, animal welfare, epidemiology or a related subject
