Mental Health Support Worker (3468)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Female Mental Health Support Worker to join our dedicated team in Neath. In this role, you will support people to build relationships, try new things, and feel part of their community – so that they can live good lives.

This role is a permanent part time position. We currently have a 20 hour contract available, with options for overtime in our other services. The salary for this role is: £13,728 (FTE £26,770).

We have a fantastic opportunity for a  Support Worker to join our dedicated team based in Brecon.  In this pivotal role you will be assisting and encouraging people in supported living to become integrated members of their local community, promoting physical and social participation. 
A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.

mirus is a not-for-profit charitable organisation, working in partnership with the people they support, their families and other partners, to deliver high quality, person-centred support services for people with a disability. We have been supporting people in Wales for over 35 years and currently support over 350 people in ten different local authority areas.

What will you be doing? 

• As a Support Worker you will develop, implement, and review a range of individual support plans to enable the person that you will support to lead a fulfilling life.

• You will provide support with a range of tasks which may include household and domestic tasks, shopping, diet/food preparation, personal care, personal hygiene, dressing and personal appearance.

• As a Support worker we will support you in studying towards your QCF Level 2 Health and Social Care, which is completely funded by mirus.

• You will work alongside other professionals such as care managers, community nurses and occupational therapists to deliver high quality support.

Support Worker - PBS & Autism Support (3471)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Support worker to join our dedicated team in Bridgend. In this role, you will support people to build relationships, try new things, and feel part of their community – so that they can live good lives.

You will need to hold a full UK driving license for this role. 

We support 50-year-old gentlemen who has Autism and lives alone. We are looking for a support worker who can encourage them to do more – both in their home and within the local community. They enjoy going shopping, visiting cafes and going for a pub lunch and visiting family. They require help with personal care and daily tasks around the house. So, who are we looking for? …. Someone who is calm and will take the time to help these gentlemen express themselves. They like people who are fun to be with and will help them try out new things.

As a Support Worker, you will:

• Support people to do the things they enjoy, try new experiences, and live good lives.

• Assist with household tasks, shopping, meal preparation, personal care, and maintaining routines.

• Encourage and support people to strengthen relationships with family, friends, and their community.

• Work alongside professionals such as social workers, nurses, and occupational therapists to ensure people receive the best support.

• Listen to the people you support and support them to make choices about their lives.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Female Support Worker to join our dedicated team in Pencoed. In this role, you will support people to build relationships, try new things, and feel part of their community – so that they can live good lives. We are three ladies who live in Pencoed area in a shared house. We are looking for a support worker who can encourage us to do more - both in our home and in our local community.

• This opportunity is being offered on a Part time contract of 20 hours a week
• You will need to hold a full UK driving license for this role
• This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check

At the Glen we are a 4-bedroom supported living home currently supporting 4 individuals with Autism and Learning difficulties, we work in a Person-centred way to create a homely environment where people can be independent and live in an environment tailored to suit their needs. This Role entails supporting with domestic duties, Medication administration and Personal care along with actively supporting Individuals in their home and out in the community.

Please note this is a 30 hours a week contracted role, (salary £19731.60) TFE- ( £25651.08)
