Youth Team Leader, Crofton
We are looking for an inspirational, faith-filled person to lead our work among 11-18s with care and dedication.
Crofton Parish has a long history of ministry to children and young people. We wish to appoint a committed Christian to lead our work with youth into a new season. This is an exciting leadership opportunity to develop Crofton’s youth ministry, working alongside a committed team of volunteers.
With a large number of children and young people involved in the life of our church, we are looking for someone to lead this important ministry area and develop new ways for young people to find faith for themselves and within their families. The successful candidate will be able to draw upon their gifts to grow a strong community within our young people, helping them to grow as life-long disciples of Christ.
Presently, we run a range of groups for children and young people of all ages. We also have excellent relationships with the schools in our community. We are looking for someone who will nurture and care for the young people already involved in parish life and particularly, work alongside the staff team and volunteers to develop new pathways into belonging for 11-18s and their families in our community.
Full details of the role can be found in the Role Description and Person Specification documents – click on the links above to download. Please use the Application Form above to apply.

The Diocese of Portsmouth is committed to creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive workforce that represents our context and wider community. We are aware that those of United Kingdom Minority Ethnic/Global Majority Heritage, women and disabled people are currently under-represented among our clergy, and we particularly encourage applications from those with the relevant skills and experience that will increase this representation. The appointment will of course be based on merit alone. There is a Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR) that the post-holder be a committed, practising Christian sympathetic to the aims and objectives of the Church of England. Enhanced DBS will be required.
