Do you hold a relevant university degree, or demonstrate equivalent professional experience, in MEAL, Statistics, Public Health, Social Sciences, Information Management, or a related discipline?

Do you have a minimum of 4 to 5 years of humanitarian MEAL experience, including at least 3 years leading multi-partner or consortium-level MEAL coordination?

Do you have demonstrated experience working with DG ECHO Single Form results frameworks, KRI/KOI indicators, and donor reporting requirements?

The Yemen WASH Consortium MEAL Coordinator will provide consortium-wide technical leadership for monitoring, evaluation, accountability, learning and responsible information management for the DG ECHO-funded action. The postholder will chair the Consortium MEAL Technical Working Group and coordinate partner MEAL focal points to establish and maintain a harmonized, proportionate and accessible MEAL system aligned with the approved Single Form, logical framework, DG ECHO KRI/KOI requirements, consortium governance arrangements and relevant Yemen humanitarian coordination systems.


The coordinator will consolidate and quality-assure partner evidence; provide timely analysis and recommendations to the Consortium Coordinator; strengthen accountability to affected people; facilitate learning and adaptive management. The MEAL Coordinator will provide strategic leadership to consortium partners to ensure harmonized tools, methodologies, reporting systems, data protection standards, and learning processes throughout the project lifecycle.

An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have:

Essential

  • Relevant University Degree or demonstrably equivalent professional experience in MEAL, statistics, public health, social sciences, information management or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 4 to 5 years of humanitarian MEAL experience, including at least three years leading multi-partner or consortium-level MEAL coordination..
  • Demonstrated experience with DG ECHO Single Form results frameworks, KRI/KOI indicators and donor reporting.
  • Practical experience designing monitoring systems, indicator protocols, sampling frameworks, surveys, evaluations and DQAs.
  • Previous experience and knowledge of WASH monitoring and its links with public health, health, nutrition and disease-outbreak response.
  • Strong experience in AAP/FCRM, CHS commitments, protection mainstreaming, safeguarding referrals and disability inclusion.
  • Responsible-data and data-protection experience, including data-sharing, access controls and incident escalation.
  • Advanced competency in use of relevant technology systems (MS Office suite skills) and digital data-collection capability using tools such as KoboToolbox, SurveyCTO; dashboard skills in Power BI.
  • Solid and sound data management and reporting skills.
  • Strong facilitation, negotiation and capacity-strengthening skills, including the ability to influence partner staff without line-management authority.
  • Good leadership and team management skills with minimum 3 years of experience in this domain.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English (written and verbal).

  • Attention to detail and strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Ability to keep clear and concise records and some knowledge of relevant statistical software would be highly desirable.
