Women's 2nd Team Head Coach
Description
The 2025-26 season for the Women's Twos was a strong year for the team, placing 2nd in the Women's Midlands Tier 3 League and narrowly missing the win.
For the coming season, the team are aiming for promotion in their BUCS league and are seeking a head coach capable of leading the team to victory.
They are also eager to retake their crown from Cambridge Women’s Twos in the Home Varsity. With a strong core of players and a good mix of undergraduate and postgraduate students who will remain at the university for the next 2–3 years, this is an exciting opportunity to build a long-term project.
About the Role
• Lead two to three training sessions per week.
• Attend all BUCS matches (home and away). All travel costs for away games will be reimbursed.
• Assist in player selection and trials from late September (Week 0 Michaelmas Term) onwards in collaboration with team Captains.
• The role offers a salary of £132.35 per week during term time in Michaelmas and Hilary Terms, as well as Week 0 of Michaelmas Term (a total of £2,250 annually).
Coaches are required to hold at least a Level 1 coaching qualification and must have previous coaching or playing experience.
This is a unique chance to coach high-level student-athletes at one of the world’s top universities and to join a close-knit and ambitious sporting community.
Please note: This is a self-employed, consultancy-based position.
The University of Oxford will not sponsor or support visa applications for this role.
