The Vacancy

Are you committed to gender equality and promoting the rights of young women and girls in the care system and their babies? If so, we would love to hear from you.

NYAS Cymru have services across Wales, and we have an exciting new programme called TogetHER which is a sister project from our Unity work which provides wrap around support to girls and young women when their babies are at risk of entering care.

Our new Programme TogetHER will aim to advance the rights of young women in care who have children and undertake key research into why the number of babies born to care experience young women become the subject of child protection.

We will be providing wellbeing support and offering safe spaces for young women and their children to access sessions focusing on positive mental health and creating hubs for this to be achieved.

With funding from the National Lottery for Wales, we are looking for two Wellbeing Officers working 35 hours per week (part time job share considered).
