Make a real difference when it matters most
We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join our Welfare and Benefits team as a Macmillan Advice Caseworker. Your role will be to provide advice and support to people affected by cancer, their families, and carers. Ensuring people facing some of life's toughest challenges get the financial support they’re entitled to.
About the role
You will be a valued member of our Welfare and Benefits team. You will deliver free, independent, confidential, impartial and accountable advice to our local community.
You will deliver our Macmillan Advice service to clients who live in North Worcestershire.
What you’ll be doing
• Delivering high-quality advice and casework
• Building strong partnerships with health professionals and community organisations
• Producing reports and contributing to service evaluation and improvement
• Ensuring compliance with Citizens Advice quality standards
• Working with the Citizen Advice Regional Hub who manage Macmillan caseload referrals
What we’re looking for
• Experience in welfare benefits advice, including more complex casework
• Strong knowledge of disability and sickness benefits
• Ability to work within a team to deliver continuous improvement
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Understanding of the challenges faced by people affected by cancer or long-term illness
• The ability to organise, adapt, and commit to deliver a compassionate, client-centred service.
