Salary: £18,711 - £20,667 per year (based on a full‑time equivalent of £37,422 - £41,335 per year, pay award pending)Location: Selkirk, with travel around the Scottish BordersContract: Part time, fixed term ending 31 March 2028Hours: 17.5 hours per weekClosing date: Wednesday 6 May 2026
Role Overview
The Warm and Well Coordinator will support the Senior Warm and Well Coordinator in the delivery of SBHA’s Warm and Well Service, ensuring service targets and grant conditions are met.
The role combines direct service development with training, mentoring and performance monitoring. You will support front‑line teams to provide high‑quality energy advice, help households reduce fuel costs and contribute to tackling fuel poverty and financial exclusion across our communities.
You will have a good understanding of the energy sector with experience of providing energy advice. You will be highly organised with a client centred approach with an excellent understanding of factors that lead to fuel poverty.
Key Responsibilities

Support the delivery and ongoing development of the Warm and Well Service in line with service objectives and funding requirements

Provide advice, advocacy and coaching to households to help reduce fuel costs and improve energy efficiency

Deliver training, mentoring and support to front‑line staff to build confidence and capability in providing energy advice

Maintain accurate records and monitoring systems to capture service activity, outcomes and performance

Monitor and support effective grant expenditure in line with award conditions

Prepare reports and performance information for senior management, boards and external funders
-
Promote the Warm and Well Service internally and externally, raising awareness of affordable warmth

Build and maintain effective relationships with tenants, colleagues and partner organisations

Support the effective handling of service queries and complaints, ensuring a positive customer experience

What we’re looking for
Essential:
-
Experience supervising, coaching or mentoring staff within a customer‑facing service environment
-
Experience providing energy advice and/or support services
-
Experience delivering training, mentoring or coaching activities
-
Strong understanding of the causes and impacts of fuel poverty and financial exclusion
-
Experience producing clear written or statistical reports for senior audiences
-
Strong communication, interpersonal and IT skills
-
Ability to manage competing priorities, meet targets and work under pressure
-
A flexible, resilient and proactive approach

Full driving licence and access to own transport
Desirable:
-
Qualification or training in energy awareness (e.g. City & Guilds)

Knowledge of the energy sector and relevant regulatory frameworks

Experience of performance or budget monitoring

Experience reviewing or developing policies and procedures
