About us

We’re looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our Warehouse Team in the Lifeboat Support Centre (LSC) in Poole, which receives and supplies most of the stock required throughout the RNLI whether it be Marine, Fundraising or Retail Sales.

Your Role
As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll be responsibly for managing your resources effectively to support the core tasks and priorities of the section, colleagues and Section Leaders.
This is a busy and varied role, and you will be responsible for a range of tasks including:
- Unloading and loading vehicles
- Checking a variety of goods in as they arrive
- picking and locating stock
- Making sure goods are available for distribution
- Assisting with warehouse audit systems
- To identify processes that can be improved upon and recommend changes to Section Leaders
- To liaise with internal departments as necessary
- To acquire AX user knowledge succinct with the requirements of the section
About You
To be considered as the Warehouse Operative you will need:
- Previous experience of computerised inventory control and stores
- Experience of an engineering or marine environment
- Be proactive and motivated, and educated to NVQ 2 (or equivalent), with strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ideally possess a forklift truck license or be willing to attain one
