Sancta Maria Hospital currently have an opportunity for a Ward Clerk to join our busy and diverse ward team. Sancta Maria Hospital is the only private hospital in Swansea offering a wide range of procedures carried out by a number of our leading consultants.

This is a bank post. Bank vacancies are not contracted to fixed hours; instead, they allow workers to pick shifts that align with their availability. Our Bank workers enable HMT to managing fluctuating demand, such as covering staff absences, busy periods, or unexpected workload increases whilst offering you the flexibility pick up shifts as available

Training will be required for the successful candidate

To support and provide administrative assistance to the Ward Department alongside offering general support to ward staff when required.

  • Data entry using the local the computer system software- Compucare 8.
  • Answer the telephone courteously and direct enquiries as appropriate.
  • Complete necessary paperwork to support the ward and OPD.
  • Arrange appointments using the required software and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Liaise with other departments and develop strong workplace networks.
  • Undertake the franking and use the Fax machine.
  • Responsible for ensuring all relevant queries are handled efficiently and effectively, liaising with patients, Consultants and other relevant hospital staff.
