Volunteer Opportunities for Women Over Fifty Film Festival 2026

The Women Over Fifty Film Festival (WOFFF) celebrates the achievements, creativity and stories of older women on screen and behind the camera. Through film, conversation and community, WOFF champion the voices of women over 50 and creates opportunities for audiences, filmmakers and industry professionals to connect across generations.

WOFFF is a volunteer-led Community Interest Company that showcases outstanding short films from around the world. The programme highlights the lives, experiences and achievements of older women, with filmmakers joining throughout the festival for Q&A sessions and discussions.

Hybrid festival structure:

• WOFFF26 Online:4 September to 5 October 2026
• WOFFF26 In-Person Festival:Saturday 5 September 2026 at Depot Cinema, Lewes

Volunteer Roles

WOFF is looking for friendly, enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to help create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for audiences, filmmakers and guests.

Volunteer responsibilities may include:

• Welcoming guests and festival attendees
• Managing guest lists and registrations
• Ushering audiences into screenings
• Providing information and directions
• Supporting filmmakers, speakers and festival guests
• Assisting with general event operations throughout the day

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in the film and events industry, meet filmmakers and fellow film lovers, build new skills and be part of a festival that celebrates older women’s stories and achievements.
