An exciting Volunteer opportunity has arisen within the Peterborough United Academy to support the Education and Player Care delivery.

This volunteer role will report into the Assistant Academy Manager and Head of Education & Player Care Manager and assist with the Delivery and Operations of the Academy Education and Player Care Programmes.
The purpose of this role is to support the Academy Head of Education and Player Care Manager in the delivery and execution of our Education and Player Care Programmes. The individual will play a key role in supporting our Academy Mission to โCreate Young People and Players of Valueโ. The role will involve operational tasks, in-person delivery to players and analysing data to support players from U9-U16 holistically.
The purpose of this role is to support the Academy Head of Education and Player Care Manager in the delivery and execution of our Education and Player Care Programmes. The individual will play a key role in supporting our Academy Mission to โCreate Young People and Players of Valueโ. The role will involve operational tasks, in-person delivery to players and analysing data to support players from U9-U16 holistically.
The role will be a combination of Remote and On-site work to support the academic and holistic development within the academy for players across all ages and phases. The role is suited an individual with a passion to work in the Player Care or Education Departments in Full-Time Football.
- Support with collection of feedback and data from all schools for players across the FP and YDP Phases
- Provide communication to Academy players schools to provide updates and support with building relationships
- Work Academy Head of Education to support with any intervention needed for academy players within the FP and YDP phases
- Develop new initiatives where appropriate
- Assist with the sharing of success both in and away from the academy from players across all phases
- Support Player Care Manager with Player and Parent Voice
- Support Player Care Manager with planning and delivery of FP and YDP Life Skills Curriculum
- Assist with new initiatives to support players across all academy phases completing charity work and work in the community
- Support Player Care Manager with Wellbeing and Emotional Support
- Assist Player Care Manager with Ball Person Duties.
- Support with Academy Alumni Programme
- Attend safeguarding meetings and take notes where appropriate
- Help signpost individuals to mental health and support services
- Any other reasonable duties.
Experience and Qualifications
- A qualification at degree level (or equivalent) in a Sport Related Field from a recognised University or currently enrolled/working towards (Essential)
- A qualification at higher degree level (or equivalent) in Sport Related Field from a recognised University (Desirable)
- Passion to work in Education or Player Care at a Full-Time Football Club (Essential)
- Training in Wellbeing, Safeguarding Children and Mental Health Awareness (Desirable)
- Interested in the Holistic development of Elite Athletes in a High Performing Environment (Essential)
- Good communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Focused on development of programme
- High professional standards with smart appearance
- Excellent timekeeper

- Positive, enthusiastic and proactive approach
