With an all-female staff team, Ophelia House is a Therapeutic Community offering CQC-registered drug and alcohol residential care to women. The service has been developed to meet the needs of women who require abstinence-based residential substance use treatment in a safe and therapeutic environment. Residents stay in a newly redeveloped and refurbished property in the leafy suburbs of Oxford.
We are now looking for Volunteers to join this service and contribute to making a difference.
What will you be doing:
You’ll need to show empathy for the women that use this service and maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Volunteers play a crucial role in helping us achieve our goals and to further growth of the charity. We have a range of Volunteer vacancies including: administrators, gardeners, peer support, cleaners, group supporters, chef, assistants, counsellors and more.
Skills required:
- Act with reasonable care and skill
- Good communication skills
- Independent judgement
- Ability to work effectively within the team
- Ability to evaluate and interpret information and think creatively
