Visiting Music Teacher

Visiting Music Teachers will be an enthusiastic individual with a proven track record of teaching children. Lessons are on a one to one basis and of thirty minutes duration. He/she will be able to fully prepare children for the graded examinations of the Associated Board of The Royal Schools of Music and for diplomas.

He/she will work with the Director of Music to prepare pupils in appropriate repertoire for the performance requirements of GCSE and A-level music and for appearance in school concerts both as soloists and as part of ensembles.

He/she will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with pupils and their parents and write termly reports on the progress of all his/her pupils.

Instrumental teachers at Mount Kelly work on a self-employed consultant basis and will be required to enter into a consultancy agreement and arrange their own timetables in consultation with the Director of Music.
