Job Title: Venues Cleaning Assistant
Section: Operations Team
Grade & Salary: GE2, 5019 £25,640.37 per annum pro rata (£13.66 per hour)
Location: Perth Art Gallery and other CPK venues within Perth city
Reports to: Senior Venues Officer
Job Purpose
To include cleaning toilets, cleaning floors and desks and using a mechanical buffing machine. To dispose of any waste - emptying bins and ensuring materials are recycled appropriately.
• Carry out cleaning of staff room offices and other areas as directed.
Main Accountabilities
Carry out cleaning of designated areas, which will include:
▪ Washing
▪ Sweeping
▪ Vacuum cleaning
Cleaning of fixtures and fittings
Emptying litter bins and disposing of waste
Replenish supplies in toilets, ensuring facilities are clean.
• Use cleaning machines, vacuum, floor buffer, carpet shampoo machines, and steam mops as directed.
• Ensure that stocks of cleaning materials, soap, paper towels etc. are maintained and replenished as necessary.
• Ensure that all cleaning materials are stored and utilised in line with COSHH regulations.
• Carry out deep cleans at specific times of the year.
Comply with standards and statutory hygiene regulations.
• Deliver high levels of customer service.
• Undertake training as required.
Complete any daily tasks as required.

This post will require some flexibility from the successful candidate to help meet the needs of the service. Whilst the post is primarily located at Perth Art Gallery, the successful applicant will be required on occasion to work in other Culture Perth and Kinross venues within Perth City such as Perth Museum and the AK Bell Library.
