YMCA Newcastle, the city’s oldest independent youth charity, is seeking new Trustees to join our Board and help guide the next chapter of our development.

For over 175 years, we have supported young people and communities through youth work, housing, health and wellbeing programmes, and education and training opportunities. As we look to the future, we have ambitious plans to expand our reach across Newcastle and Gateshead, alongside the development of a new youth centre.

As a Trustee, you will provide strategic oversight, constructive challenge, and support to the Chief Executive and leadership team. This is an opportunity to use your professional skills and experience to help shape services that make a lasting difference to the lives of young people.

We welcome applications from individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with expertise in:

Legal and governance
Housing and property
Ofsted-regulated services, education, or safeguarding
Finance, fundraising, or business development
Youth services and community engagement
