Ensure appropriate oversight of financial performance, risk, andregulatory compliance.Board Development and CultureFoster a culture of openness, inclusion, and continuous improvement.Role Description for TrusteeKey Responsibilities:Stakeholder Engagement and RepresentationAct as an ambassador for Aurora Wellbeing, enhancing its reputationand influence.Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, funders, andpartners.Support income generation and innovation through strategicpartnerships.Accountability and ImpactEnsure the charity is accountable to its beneficiaries, funders, andregulators.Promote transparency in decision-making and reporting.Oversee the measurement and communication of the charity’s impact.Role Description for TrusteeEssentialProven leadership at senior level.Strong strategic thinking and planning skills.Deep understanding of governance, compliance, and risk.Excellent communication and people skills.Commitment to Aurora’s mission and values.DesirableAn understanding of healthcare commissioning, particularly within thevoluntary and community sector.Experience in business development, fundraising, or entrepreneurship.Knowledge of digital transformation and impact evaluation.Person SpecificationTime CommitmentMinimum of four Board meetings per year (typically in person, with remoteoptions). Attendance at sub-committee meetings (quarterly).Availability to support staff and attend key events as required. Sub-committee participation and ad hoc support between meetings.TenureTrustees will serve a term of three years, renewable for a second term.A third term may be served by exception, subject to approval by theBoard of Trustees.
