About Us

Founded in 1997, GamCare is the leading provider of information, advice and support for anyone affected by gambling harms. We operate the National Gambling Helpline, provide treatment, raise awareness and encourage safer gambling practice across the gambling industry.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join GamCare as a Treatment Team Leader, providing day-to-day clinical and operational leadership across a defined treatment service footprint. Working as part of the Treatment leadership team, you will help ensure services are safe, effective, accessible and responsive for people experiencing gambling-related harms.

Reporting to a Service Manager, you will lead and support Gambling Support Practitioners to deliver GamCare’s Model of Care across assessment, intervention, step-up and step-down pathways, discharge and aftercare. You will oversee demand, capacity and performance, promote safeguarding and governance, and work with internal teams and external partners to support coordinated, person-centred pathways of care.

About you

We are looking for an experienced leader from health, social care, addiction, mental health, criminal justice or a related support service who is committed to high-quality, evidence-based and trauma-informed support for people affected by gambling harms.

You will bring:

  • Experience leading, supervising or managing teams within health, social care or psychosocial support services.
  • Knowledge of structured interventions, case management, safeguarding, risk and governance.
  • Confidence supporting vulnerable or high-risk groups, including people affected by addiction, mental health challenges or criminal justice involvement.
  • Ability to use CRM systems, digital tools and performance data to support decisions and service improvement.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with knowledge of gambling harms advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day treatment service delivery, ensuring support is safe, timely, effective and person-centred.
  • Oversee demand, capacity, waiting times, performance and operational pressures, escalating issues where required.
  • Lead, supervise and develop Gambling Support Practitioners, supporting induction, wellbeing, performance and team culture.
  • Provide practice oversight, case management support, safeguarding leadership and quality assurance activity.
  • Use data, audits, learning and partnership working to strengthen pathways, reporting and continuous improvement.

Benefits You Can Enjoy

  • 33 days basic annual leave entitlement per annum (pro-rated for part-time colleagues) including bank holidays which increases with service.
  • A generous Pension Scheme - we contribute 6% and you contribute 2%.
  • Discretionary company sick pay after 6 months’ service.
  • Employee Assistance Programme – 24-hour support
  • Premium access to the CALM app for you and up to 5 dependents
