Full time – 35 hours per week

Location: Yorkshire & Humber. Home working with expectation to travel within the region as per requirement of the role.Salary: £35,375

About Us

GamCare is the leading provider of information, advice, support and treatment for anyone affected by gambling harms. We operate the National Gambling Helpline and work to raise awareness of safer gambling, treatment and recovery support.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join GamCare as a Treatment Team Leader, providing day-to-day clinical and operational leadership across a defined treatment service footprint. Working as part of the Treatment leadership team, you will help ensure services are safe, effective, accessible and responsive for people experiencing gambling-related harms.

Reporting to a Service Manager, you will lead and support Gambling Support Practitioners to deliver GamCare’s Model of Care across assessment, intervention, step-up and step-down pathways, discharge and aftercare. You will oversee demand, capacity and performance, provide supervision and case management support, promote safeguarding and governance, and work with internal teams and external partners to support coordinated, person-centred care.

About you

We are looking for someone with experience managing people within health, social care, addiction, mental health, criminal justice or a related support service settings. You will be committed to supporting people affected by gambling harms and helping practitioners deliver high-quality, evidence-based interventions.

You will bring:

  • Experience leading, supervising or managing teams in health, social care, addiction, mental health, criminal justice or psychosocial support services.
  • Experience supporting structured interventions, including approaches such as CBT and Motivational Interviewing.
  • Strong understanding of case management, safeguarding, risk, governance, quality standards, staff development and work with vulnerable or high-risk groups.
  • Confidence using CRM systems, digital tools and performance data, with strong communication, relationship-building and person-centred practice skills.
  • Knowledge of gambling harms and gambling-specific treatment and recovery approaches would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day delivery of gambling treatment services, ensuring support is safe, timely, effective and person-centred.
  • Oversee demand, capacity, waiting times, operational pressures and service planning, escalating issues where needed.
  • Lead, supervise and develop Gambling Support Practitioners, supporting induction, wellbeing, performance and a positive team culture.
  • Provide practice oversight, case management support, safeguarding input and risk management in line with GamCare’s Model of Care, policies and governance requirements.
  • Embed quality assurance and continuous improvement through audits, case file reviews, practice observations, performance data, outcomes monitoring and partnership working.
