About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to train to join our friendly team to help our Three River's community resolve issues related to homelessness and housing. This is a new role and will form a job share, the first part of which has already been filled.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following from our 'Essential Person Specification' criteria:

1. Awareness or understanding of giving tailored advice and working in a regulated

environment.

2. An ability to demonstrate a level of commitment to training, identify own training needs and participate in continued personal development opportunities.

3. The ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines using own initiative.

4. The ability to communicate effectively with a range of people and organisations.

5. Good literacy and numeracy skills with the ability to carry out efficient client interviews and at times to undertake benefit calculations.

6. Ability to use IT systems, packages and resources in the provision of advice, record keeping and document production.

7. The ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team and work without close supervision.

8. Ability and willingness to follow agreed procedures, including maintaining confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries.

9. Ability to work in a sensitive and enabling way with people from a wide range of backgrounds.

10. Understanding of, and commitment to, the aims and principles of the Citizens Advice service and our organisational values.

The successful candidate will be the one that can effectively demonstrate how they meet the above criteria at both the application and interview stage.
