Main purpose and scope of the job

This role is a practice and service improvement post focused on strengthening responses to teenage intimate partner abuse (TIPA) across statutory and voluntary sector settings.

The Teen Intimate Partner Abuse Improvement Worker will work alongside young people, practitioners and partner agencies to:

  • Understand and scope current practice with teenagers experiencing or using abusive behaviours in relationships
  • Identify gaps, barriers and inconsistencies in how teenage TIPA is recognised and responded to
  • Develop, pilot and test improved ways of working, including preventative and early-intervention approaches
  • Improve pathways between schools, Children’s Services and voluntary sector provision
  • Evaluate impact using feedback from young people and professionals
