The Vacancy
Do you have experience in providing coordination and administrative duties within an Estates Management team? Are you confident working with contractors, customers and colleagues and providing technical advice and support?
We’re looking for a Technical Contracts Advisor to assist our Estates team. You’ll work closely with our Regional Service Delivery Managers and Estates Supervisors, supporting the delivery and performance of planned, cyclical and reactive estates services across our communal spaces, blocks and assets.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll work closely with our Regional Service Delivery Managers to support the day-to-day delivery of our estate’s contracts. You’ll respond to queries from customers, colleagues, contractors and suppliers, providing technical background support and making sure issues are dealt with appropriately.
The role will involve supporting planned, cyclical and reactive works, including coordinating quotations and repairs, keeping contract records up to date and supporting performance reporting through our business systems.
You will support to make sure work is delivered safely, meets the required standards and complies with relevant legislation and contractual requirements.
About you
We’re looking for someone who has experience in estates services and is comfortable working with customers, contractors and colleagues. You’ll need to be confident in dealing with queries which are generated from customer and colleague correspondence and able to use your knowledge to make decisions.
You’ll also have:
- Administrative experience, ideally within grounds maintenance, caretaking, cleaning, arboriculture and small sewage treatment plants.
- Knowledge of service delivery processes.
- Awareness of Tree Preservation Orders, Conservation Areas and protected species.
- Knowledge of relevant environmental, health and safety and waste disposal legislation.
- Good IT skills, including experience using Microsoft applications and GIS (Geographic Information Systems).
This is a flexible role, with the option to work from home. You’ll ideally be based within one of our operating regions and may on occasion need to travel to one of our office HUBs for team meetings and other events. Our operating region includes Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall and London.
