Job Introduction

Team Leader - Didcot and Grove Wantage

Looking for your next leadership and development opportunity?

If you have experience leading teams within social care, this could be a great opportunity to join Brandon Trust as a Team Leader supporting our homes in Grove Wantage and Didcot.

At Brandon Trust, we support people with different abilities to live the lives they choose. As a Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in making this happen—leading by example, supporting your team, and ensuring the people we support receive high-quality, person-centred support.

You’ll be a visible and supportive leader, bringing a calm, positive and confident approach. Whether you’re guiding your team through day-to-day challenges or supporting more complex situations, you’ll create an environment where people feel valued, supported and able to do their best work.

Working closely with the Locality/Registered Manager, you’ll lead, coach and develop a team of Support Workers. You’ll help ensure a consistent, high-quality approach across both locations, supporting your team to deliver great outcomes for the people we support.

Our support is always centred around each person—their values, preferences and goals. This may include support with daily living, accessing the community, personal care and medication. Alongside providing hands-on support when needed, you’ll coordinate and lead your team to deliver safe, effective and meaningful support.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading and empowering the people we support to live the lives they choose
  • Providing day-to-day leadership, guidance and supervision to your team
  • Supporting, coaching and developing colleagues to build confidence and skills
  • Working across both Grove (Wantage) and Didcot to ensure consistency and quality
  • Modelling best practice and providing hands-on support when needed
  • Helping to plan and coordinate support so it’s responsive and person-centred
  • Supporting with resources, compliance and maintaining high standards

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in a supervisory or leadership role within social care
  • Experience supporting people with a learning disability
  • A positive, inclusive and person-centred approach
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • The ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Resilience and confidence when managing challenges
  • A relevant social care qualification
  • A management qualification (or willingness to work towards one)

Essential:

  • Full UK manual driving licence

What you’ll receive:

  • Sleep-ins paid at £60 extra
  • Ongoing training and career development, including recognised qualifications
  • Contributory pension
  • DBS costs covered
  • Rotas planned in advance
  • Wagestream access for flexible pay and financial wellbeing
  • Discounts including Blue Light Card, EE perks and Costco membership
  • Refer-a-friend bonus
  • Wellbeing support including helplines
  • Health Cash Plan

Team Leaders work flexibly as part of a 24/7 service. An enhanced DBS check will be required.

We’re proud to be an inclusive employer and welcome applications from people from all backgrounds.

Unfortunately, we’re unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK, with at least 12 months remaining on their visa and no restrictions on working hours.
