Teaching Assistant in the Prep School
Part-time, 8 hours per week, Permanent

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant to join our supportive school team. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of teaching and senior staff to support pupils’ learning and development both within and outside the classroom.
The role will involve implementing agreed learning programmes with individuals and groups of pupils, including those who may require detailed or specialist support in particular areas. The successful applicant will assist teachers with the planning cycle, preparation and management of learning resources, and contribute to creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
The post holder may also be required to supervise whole classes on occasion during the short-term absence of the teacher, maintaining good order and ensuring pupils remain focused and on task.
We are looking for someone who:
Is passionate about supporting children’s learning and wellbeing
Works effectively as part of a team
Has strong communication and organisational skills
Can use initiative and build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
NVQ 3 or equivalent in teaching assistance or equivalent experience is essential for this role.
