The new colleague will participate fully as a team member in our Secondary School with almost 700 students, and within the whole school. There is also an opportunity to offer Theory of Knowledge as part of the Core of the Diploma Programme. Prior experience is preferred.

UWC Maastricht is looking for an experienced Teacher of Economics & Integrated Humanities, reporting to the Head of Humanities Department.

We are seeking an experienced full-time DP Economics teacher and MYP Integrated Humanities teacher for students aged between 11 and 18, starting on 1 August 2026.

  • You have previous experience working in a system that has external examinations.
  • You are familiar and fluent with technology-supported learning and technologically competent.
  • You have experience with utilising and managing Microsoft software for course organisation, content delivery, and student engagement.
  • You have awareness of the need to create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the physical, social, and emotional development of children.

  • Completed Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Economics.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in an IB school and working with the IB MYP and CP/DP program. Additional IB training is preferred.
  • (International) Teaching Qualification / Certificate, like a Bachelor's and Master's in Education or QTS with induction, that qualifies for accreditation according to the Dutch educational system. Your qualifications allow you to work with the age group 11-18.
