As a Teacher at The Mulberry Bush School, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the lives of children who have experienced trauma, helping them discover a love of learning and play to build a brighter future. You’ll be responsible for planning, teaching and assessing a small class of up to eight children, working closely with your teaching team and the Education Management Team to create a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment.
This is a role where education and therapeutic care come together. You’ll be part of a wider multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively to meet each child’s individual needs and support their emotional wellbeing as well as their learning. - Assess, record and report on pupil progress, supporting each child’s development and wellbeing
- Create a safe, structured and stimulating classroom where children feel secure and ready to learn
- Work closely with colleagues across education and therapy teams to support each child holistically
- Take part in meetings, reviews and supervision, contributing to shared learning and continuous improvement
- Reflect on and develop your own teaching practice to maintain high standards
- Contribute to curriculum development and take on subject leadership responsibilities
- Support whole school activities, events and trips as part of the wider community
- Play an active role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children
