Normal Working hours: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week (some flexibility will be required to attend fundraising events)

As our Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Manager, you’ll help secure the vital funding that transforms the lives of vulnerable children, families and communities. You’ll play a big part in shaping our future – crafting compelling funding proposals, building lasting relationships with grant makers, and ensuring supporters feel truly valued.

We’ll look to you to:
- Achieve annual income targets through one-off and multi-year grants.
- Research, identify and cultivate new funding opportunities, keeping a healthy pipeline in Raiser’s Edge NXT.
- Write persuasive, tailored cases for support and grant applications.
- Produce timely, inspiring reports that show impact and encourage repeat funding.
- Deliver exceptional stewardship through communications, meetings, visits and events.
- Work with colleagues across the organisation to gather information and build strong proposals.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on case studies, donor recognition and campaign materials.
- Stay on top of best practice and trends in trust fundraising.
- Ensure all activity is compliant with fundraising standards and GDPR.

Here’s what you’ll bring
- At least 2 years’ experience in Trusts and Foundations fundraising.
- A strong track record of meeting income targets and securing new grants.
- Excellent bid writing, prospect research and grant management skills.
- Experience of both restricted and unrestricted funding applications.
- Warm, persuasive communication – written and verbal.
- Strong relationship management and stewardship skills.
- Ability to plan and prioritise in a busy team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems (e.g. Raiser’s Edge NXT) desirable.
- Knowledge of fundraising governance, GDPR and best practice.
Bonus points for:
- Experience of securing significant multi-year grants.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
- An interest in the wider charity sector.

About the role:
We’re looking for Residential Childcare Workers to join our ever-growing team here at the Mulberry Bush. You'll be a role model and mentor, a gaming buddy and swimming chaperone, as you play a key part in the support system for children who have experienced significant trauma. Whether you’re cooking with the children, taking them on cinema trips, or getting hands-on with arts and crafts, you'll be the hero in their story as you help them build healthy relationships and discover the benefits of education. It can be tough, it can be challenging, but it's always incredibly rewarding.
We'll look to you to:
- Provide practical day to day care of children within the household, e.g. getting the children ready for school, mealtime activities, getting children ready for bed.
- Plan and provide child-centred cultural, physical, play and recreational activities.
- Think creatively about – and contribute to – effective care planning.
- Provide appropriate therapeutic relationships with the children.
- Develop your understanding of therapeutic childcare practice.
- Monitor the care and treatment of your assigned children within the household.
Shift Patterns:
- Shift patterns are usually set a term in advance.
- Shifts include 40 hours a week over a 7-day period, between the hours of 8am-10pm.
- You’ll be required to participate in the sleep-in rota, which could involve 1-2 sleep-ins per week, including weekends.
- Sleep-ins take place from 10pm-8am. These hours are separate from your 40 hours and are paid on top of your salary.
- The number of sleep-ins are not set and will be subject to change based on staff availability.

About the role:
Are you keen to start a new chapter in your career? Why not join The Mulberry Bush School, as a Teaching Assistant, where you will play a key role in enriching the lives of children affected by trauma and help them create a new narrative.
You will work in our small residential primary school (approx. 30 children in the school, with a maximum of 8 per classroom) as a part of the education team, reporting to a classroom teacher. You will provide educational, emotional and practical support to individual children and small groups of children.
Due to the children’s past experiences many of the children display negative behaviours. As a member of the educational team, you will help provide the children with ways of re-defining themselves and their personalities through positive experiences, focussing on their strengths, understanding their regressive tendencies and providing nurture when needed.
We’ll look to you to:
- Work closely with the classroom teacher to support the children with their learning tasks to maximise their progress.
- Support children with independence, confidence and social integration.
- Work with the teacher to prepare for lessons, getting involved in team meetings and training.
- Help maintain a well-organised and stimulating classroom environment.
- Identify issues of concern regarding children’s behaviour and provide feedback to the teacher and treatment team.
- Supervise children during the school day. This may include having to physically intervene to support a child.
- Provide basic childcare, including first aid and hygiene support.
- Be willing to undertake The Mulberry Bush Foundation Degree in Therapeutic Work with Children and Young People.

About the role
We’re looking for a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) to be a part of an extraordinary story and join our ever-growing team here at The Mulberry Bush. In a nutshell, you'll be responsible for leading our fantastic SEN setup, driving improvements for classroom SEN provision, and creating, implementing and maintaining teaching and learning development plans for all children at the school.
We'll look to you to:
- Lead our SEN team.
- Carry out the professional duties of a teacher.
- Implement strategies to support children’s special educational needs.
- Work closely with our Speech & Language Therapist and external professionals to develop provision for children.
- Train and support education staff.
- Schedule and lead all SEN reviews, completing the required paperwork.
- Ensure each child is supported by a clear, consistent educational plan.

- 3+ years’ teaching experience in a school for primary-aged children.
