Northumbria University is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Swimming Coach to support the continued growth and development of its university swimming programme. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a growing club that has strong demand for both performance swimming and participation opportunities.
The successful candidate will plan and deliver high-quality coaching sessions for swimmers across a range of abilities, from athletes striving for competitive success to those looking to improve their skills, fitness, and confidence in the pool. The club is ambitious in its aims to continue progressing competitively and achieving stronger results, while also maintaining a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for all members.
Working closely with student athletes, club committee members, and the wider university sport team, the coach will contribute to training delivery, athlete development, and competition preparation throughout the academic year. Training times for the role vary across the week, and flexibility will be important. However, we are open to conversations around availability for the right candidate. This role would suit a coach who is passionate about swimmer development, team culture, and helping build a positive environment that supports both participation and performance success.
