Could you help someone believe their future can be different from their past?
Join Forward Trust as a Supporting People on Probation Navigator in Norwich, working full time, 35 hours per week, supporting people to rebuild their lives and move forward from offending. This is a rewarding, people-focused role where no two days are the same, and where the work you do genuinely changes lives.
We’re looking for compassionate, motivated people who believe that another life is possible. You may have experience in probation, prisons, policing, courts, education, health, social care or psychology. Or perhaps you bring transferable life skills, coaching experience, counselling knowledge, fostering experience, or simply a natural ability to connect with people.
What matters most is your ability to build trust, inspire change, and support people to see a future beyond their past.
What the role looks like
You could be:
- Delivering 1:1 support sessions
- Facilitating creative or group-based interventions
- Supporting someone preparing for release from prison
- Helping Service Users rebuild family relationships
- Encouraging wellbeing through community projects or activities
- Working closely with Probation Practitioners to create action plans
- Keeping accurate records and safeguarding vulnerable adults
One day you might be supporting someone at a probation appointment, the next facilitating a group activity or helping someone attend their first GP appointment in years.
What we’re looking for
We want people who are:
- Passionate about helping others change their lives
- Great at building rapport and professional relationships
- Confident working independently and as part of a team
- Organised, reliable and able to maintain accurate records
- Creative, adaptable and proactive
- Comfortable delivering both 1:1 and group interventions
- Motivated to achieve high standards and positive outcomes
You’ll become part of a passionate national team delivering life-changing rehabilitative services across the UK. Around 30% of our staff have lived experience of addiction or offending, because we know recovery and change are possible.
If you want a career with purpose, challenge and real human impact, we’d love to hear from you.
