Job Description

Join Our Team and Make a Difference Every Day at MacIntyre!

At MacIntyre, we believe in the power of individual voices and creating a space where everyone feels heard, valued, and understood. We're looking for a caring, compassionate individual to join our team and help create a truly person-centred environment for an adult with multiple learning and physical disabilities.

Position Details:

  • Part-time role: 5 hours per week
  • Tuesday evenings: 5:00pm – 7:00pm
  • Friday mornings: 9:30am – 12:30pm
  • No driving licence required

About the Role:
In this role, you’ll be an integral part of enabling the person we support to enjoy their glorious ordinary life through meaningful, fulfilling experiences. Whether it's swimming, arts and crafts, or getting out into the local community, you’ll be supporting them to engage in the activities that matter most to them.

You’ll share everyday moments together—preparing meals, spending time together, and building a strong, trusting relationship. Working in line with MacIntyre’s DNA, you’ll ensure the person’s voice is always at the centre of everything you do, supporting choice, independence, and dignity.

About the Person You’ll Support:
You could be supporting Matt* to live his fullest, most independent life. Matt loves swimming and enjoys getting out and about on local outings. You’ll support him with daily living tasks such as medication, personal care, and eating (including PEG feeding), while ensuring every interaction is respectful, empowering, and led by his preferences.

Matt communicates in his own unique way, so being attentive to non-verbal cues and building a deep understanding of his communication style will be essential. The role is about much more than practical support—it’s about creating moments of joy, connection, and meaning every day.

Join us at MacIntyre, where we’re creating a world where everyone is valued, and together, we can make every day meaningful.

"Please note, we are currently unable to offer sponsorships as we await further guidance from the Home Office. Applications requiring sponsorship cannot be considered at this time. We appreciate your understanding."
