Support Worker - PBS & Autism Support- only Male

We have an exciting opportunity for a Male PBS & Autism Support worker to join our dedicated team in Maesteg, Bridgend. In this role, you will support people to build relationships, try new things, and feel part of their community – so that they can live good lives.

You will need to hold a full UK driving license for this role.

Due to the requirements of the support provided at this service, we are looking for Male Support Workers only.

The Home situated in Maesteg, the home is 3 stories and has a flat based approach. This means each of the 4 people supported that live here have their own flats inside the home. The 4 people supported have autism, learning disabilities, diabetes, communication needs and some (not all) can display behaviours that challenge. The staff team is very experienced, knowledgeable about the people supported and supportive to new staff. The staff support the people supported to live their lives as they wish, promoting them to gain new skills and experience new activities.

What You'll Do 

As a Support Worker, you will:

  • Support people to do the things they enjoy, try new experiences, and live good lives.
  • Assist with household tasks, shopping, meal preparation, personal care, and maintaining routines.
  • Encourage and support people to strengthen relationships with family, friends, and their community.
  • Listen to the people you support and support them to make choices about their lives.
