Support WorkerCroft House Starting salary £12.21phRising to £12.41 after successful completion of probation, increasing to £12.60 after a further 12 months in post.
This role involves providing high-quality, person-centred support within a residential home for adults with learning disabilities. The position focuses on promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing while creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all residents.
The role is available on both a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week) and part-time options (30 hours and 24 hours per week).
Support Workers are required to work a rota that includes a combination of early shifts (starting at 07:30), late shifts, and sleepover shifts, ensuring continuous care and support for residents. The role demands reliability, adaptability, and a commitment to maintaining consistent, high-quality care standards across all working hours.
This position provides an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals by supporting daily living activities, encouraging social inclusion, and helping residents achieve greater independence and personal goals. This does involve some personal care.
Main duties of the job

- Deliver high-quality, person-centred support, ensuring that each individual’s preferences, needs, and choices are respected at all times.
- Work in accordance with individual support plans, regularly reviewing and updating them to ensure care is delivered in the way each person wishes.
- Support individuals with daily living activities, promoting independence, confidence, and overall wellbeing.
- Administer medication safely and accurately in line with agreed procedures and training.
- Facilitate and support participation in social, recreational, and community-based activities to promote inclusion and quality of life.
- Maintain accurate records, including report writing and the completion of detailed daily interaction notes.
- Support and manage financial transactions on behalf of individuals where required, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Build positive, respectful relationships with individuals, supporting communication and emotional wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and professionals to ensure consistent and effective support delivery.
