Pay: £12.75 per hour
Hours: 30 hours per week
Days: Tuesday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
Location: Cosham
Are you caring, patient, and passionate about supporting others? We’re looking for a Support Worker to join our friendly and supportive team at our Sixth Avenue Hub in Cosham.
In this rewarding role, you’ll provide high‑quality, person‑centred support to individuals with learning disabilities. You’ll help people develop independence, confidence, and life skills while ensuring they feel safe, respected, and valued.
Support may include personal care, mealtimes, activities, community engagement, and emotional support, all tailored to each individual’s needs, preferences, and goals. You’ll work closely with colleagues and families to create a welcoming, inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
Key details:
- Supporting with personal care, mobility, meals, and medication
- Encouraging participation in activities and community sessions
- Promoting independence using positive, active support approaches
- Keeping accurate records and following care and support plans
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, families, and professionals
About you:
- Caring, reliable, and compassionate
- Strong communication skills (verbal and non‑verbal)
- Able to stay calm and flexible in challenging situations
- Committed to dignity, respect, and high‑quality care
- Full training provided. Experience is welcome but not essential.
