Job Description

Help Diane* Live Her Glorious Ordinary Life

Looking for a role where the ordinary becomes extraordinary?

Every great day starts with the little things – a favourite drive, a trip to the beach, meeting friendly faces, sharing a laugh, or spending time with animals. For Diane, these everyday moments are what make life meaningful. Could you be the person who helps make them happen?

We're looking for thoughtful, resilient and compassionate people to join our fantastic team in Manchester. Together, you'll support Diane to live the life she chooses, in her own home, on her own terms. We have both full-time and part-time opportunities available, supporting a 24/7 rota.

Meet Diane*

Diane is warm, funny and full of personality. She loves getting out and about, whether that's heading to the beach, enjoying a scenic drive, spending time with animals or meeting new people. Building genuine relationships is important to her, and you'll have the opportunity to become someone she knows, trusts and enjoys spending time with.

Diane is autistic and sometimes communicates her thoughts, feelings and needs through her behaviour when words aren't enough. That's why consistency, curiosity and kindness matter so much. By taking the time to understand what Diane is telling you, you'll help her feel safe, heard and understood.

You'll be part of an experienced, supportive team, working alongside a Senior Support Worker and Frontline Manager. Using MacIntyre's Positive Behaviour Support approach, you'll have the training, guidance and encouragement to build meaningful relationships and make a lasting difference.

What you'll receive

  • Full, paid training from day one
  • Ongoing learning and development opportunities
  • A supportive, values-led team who have your back
  • Access to a range of employee benefits, including the Blue Light Card
  • The chance to build a rewarding career while helping someone live their glorious ordinary life

If you're someone who believes that trust is built over time, that every person should be listened to, and that the best support starts with understanding the individual, we'd love to hear from you.

About you

Of course we welcome you if you've been a care assistant or support worker, but experience isn’t necessary. If you share our values, are warm, friendly and willing to learn, you’re likely to be a great fit. We’re looking for people who celebrate differences, and we strive to make all our staff feel included, valued and respected.

You must be a driver with a manual licence, and have held your licence for at least 1 year, as you will be driving fleet vehicles.
