About the Role
As a Recovery Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting people to achieve their goals, improve their wellbeing and build greater independence. Working in a person-centred and recovery-focused environment, you will provide practical and emotional support to individuals with a range of needs, helping them develop the skills and confidence to live fulfilling lives. You will be part of a supportive team committed to delivering high-quality services that reflect Waythrough's values of Kindness, Courage and Respect.
Key Duties
- Deliver person-centred, strengths-based support tailored to individual needs.

- Help individuals develop independent living skills, including budgeting, accessing services and engaging with their local community.
- Encourage choice, control and active involvement in decision-making.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with GDPR and organisational policies.
- Assess and manage risk, following safeguarding, health and safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, partners and external agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
- Contribute positively to team meetings, handovers and the day-to-day running of the service.
- Maintain professional boundaries and uphold the organisation's Code of Conduct.
About You

You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to build trusting relationships and a person-centred approach to support. You will be confident working independently as well as part of a team, with strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
Ideally, you will have experience supporting vulnerable people or those with complex needs, and an understanding of how to promote independence and wellbeing.
