About the service & people supported

£13.45 per hour | 36 hours per week

We're looking for a female Support Worker to join a lively, person-centred supported living service in Neath, supporting two incredible individuals aged 28–32 to live full, independent, and exciting lives. You'll be supporting one lady and one gentleman who both use wheelchairs — but as they'll quickly show you, this is no barrier to living life to the fullest. Family and friends are everything to them, so supporting them to stay connected and maintain meaningful relationships is at the heart of this role.

A sociable, fun-loving “girls' girl” who enjoys both cosy nights in and exciting nights out. She may take a little time to get to know new people, but once she feels comfortable, her confidence shines and she truly thrives.

Described by those closest to the Gentleman, say he is:

A cheeky, thrill-seeking gentleman who loves good banter and a laugh with people he knows well.

Shifts

In this service, we have a variety of shifts, including:-

  • 8:00am – 8:00pm
  • 10:00am – 10:00pm
  • 9:00am – 3:00pm
  • 3:00pm – 8:00pm
  • Wakeful night: 9:00pm – 9:00am

Flexibility is important, as shifts vary across the week.

 Essential requirements

  • Full UK driving licence 🚗
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
  • Due to the nature of the service, this role is open to female applicants only
