Could this be the role you've been looking for?
Here at Sense, we support people with complex disabilities to live the life they choose. We're looking for Support Workers to join our small, close-knit residential team in Seaton - one of Devon's most beautiful coastal towns, where the seafront is just minutes from the door.
This is a permanent role with flexible hours available up to 37.5 per week across a varied shift pattern including mornings, afternoons, and weekends, paying £13.00 per hour. You'll be supporting six adults with learning disabilities and complex needs to live full, independent lives; whether that's a morning stroll along the seafront, a trip to a favourite café, or a day out exploring the Devon countryside.
Full training is provided, so no previous experience is needed - just the right values and a genuine desire to make a difference.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Warm, caring, and empathetic
- Positive, with a can-do attitude
- Passionate about supporting people to live the life they choose
- Comfortable working a varied shift pattern including weekends
- Willing to attend training and develop in their role
This role in Seaton might include supporting people with:
- Everyday tasks like cooking and cleaning
- Personal care and hygiene
- Finances and medication
- Getting out into the community for trips, shopping, and social activities
- Encouraging independence and wellbeing in everything you do
Benefits
- 24 days’ holiday + bank holidays; increasing with length of service
- Matched pension contributions up to 5%.
- Free life assurance
- Cashback and discounts on high street brands (including 10% off Sense shops)
- Cycle to work scheme
- Travel season ticket loans
- Enhanced sick pay
- Free DBS check (if required)
- £350 refer-a-friend scheme
- Access to 100+ online and face-to-face training courses (including the Care Certificate)
- Free access to the Wisdom wellbeing app
If you’re looking for a role that’s active, meaningful, and full of heart; we’d love to welcome you to the team.
