Are you compassionate, resilient, and passionate about supporting others?

Join Sense and help transform the lives of the people we support and their families.

We're looking for dedicated Support Workers to join our supported living team in Louth, supporting 3 people with sensory loss and learning disabilities to live independently in their own homes. This is a permanent role with contracts available for 20 or 30 hours per week, paying from £13.00 per hour with enhanced rates for overtime and annual pay reviews.

As part of a supportive team, you'll empower the people we work with to live fulfilled lives with new experiences, choices, and inclusive opportunities in their own homes and out in the wider community. No two days will be the same, but every day will matter. Sleep-in duties are expected as part of this role.

A full manual UK driving licence is mandatory as we have company vehicles used to take individuals to appointments, activities, and trips.

Please note: if you live outside of Louth, you will need access to your own vehicle for early/late shifts due to very limited public transport in the area.

What the role involves

You'll support the people we work with across all areas of daily life, including:

  • Everyday tasks such as cooking and cleaning
  • Personal care and hygiene
  • Finances and medication management
  • Community trips; shopping, appointments, and days out
  • Their social lives and activities

You'll thrive in this role if you are:

  • Compassionate and patient
  • Resilient and confident in your own abilities
  • Comfortable with lone working
  • Flexible and adaptable

Experience is welcome but not essential; what matters most is the right values and attitude.

Benefits

  • 24 days’ holiday + bank holidays; increasing with length of service
  • Matched pension contributions up to 5%.
  • Free life assurance policy.
  • Cashback and discounts on high street brands (and 10% off at Sense charity shops!).
  • Cycle to work scheme.
  • Travel season ticket loans.
  • Enhanced sick pay.
  • Wisdom app- free access for all employees to mindfulness application
  • Free DBS check if your role needs one.
  • A £350refer-a-friend scheme.
  • Free access to over 100 online and face-to-face training courses, including the care certificate.
  • Ongoing development opportunities
