Support Team Manager- Fix Term 

📍 Location: Swansea

💼 Contract: Fix Term until May 2027

⏰ Hours: Flexible – includes evenings, weekends, bank holidays, sleep-ins, waking nights & on-call
💰 Salary: 34,730.

About the Role

We're looking for a passionate and experienced Support Team Manager to lead a cluster of services and make a real difference in people's lives.

Reporting to the Registered Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred support while leading and developing a team of Support Workers. You'll be a visible leader within services, ensuring great practice, strong staff performance, and excellent outcomes for the people we support.

What You'll Be Doing

Leading Outstanding Care & Support

  • Ensure high quality, person-centred care planning and risk assessments
  • Enable people to live independently, build relationships, and engage in their communities
  • Promote active involvement of individuals and their support networks
  • Drive delivery of services in line with contracts, budgets, and care hours

Managing & Developing Teams

  • Lead, motivate, and supervise staff teams to deliver outstanding outcomes
  • Set clear objectives and monitor team performance
  • Carry out supervisions, observations, and performance reviews
  • Address performance concerns and support staff development
  • Lead team meetings and promote a positive team culture

Quality, Compliance & Improvement

  • Maintain compliance with CIW standards and safeguarding requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement through quality assurance processes
  • Ensure lessons learned from incidents and complaints are implemented
  • Monitor and improve service performance and outcomes

Health, Safety & Wellbeing

  • Promote a strong health & safety culture across services
  • Oversee safe medication practices and risk management
  • Ensure accurate incident reporting and follow-up actions

Operational & Resource Management

  • Manage budgets, staffing rotas, and service contracts effectively
  • Ensure services run within allocated resources
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with funding requirements

About You

Qualifications & Experience

  • QCF Level 4/5 in Management (or willingness to work towards)
  • Experience supporting people with learning disabilities
  • At least 1 year of management experience
  • Knowledge of CIW standards, safeguarding, MCA, DoLS, and health & safety

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills
  • Ability to drive person-centred practice and positive outcomes
  • Confident in managing performance and leading change
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • IT literate (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Car driver with flexibility to travel between services
