About the opportunity
We are looking for new Student Trustees to provide more strength and depth to the Board and ensure that the Union continues to develop.
A strong and active Board of Trustees is essential for us as we go forward to make CSU even better, to renew our success and continue to move forward.
Key Responsibilities
All Trustees have a duty to:
Ensure that CSU acts in accordance with its charitable objectives and governing documents
Ensure that CSU remains true to its Mission, Vision and Values
Help CSU achieve its objectives and benefit the members
Ensure that CSU complies with all relevant legislation and regulations
Ensure that CSU does not undertake activities that put its financial stability, members or reputation at risk
Work with other Trustees and staff in a constructive manner
Participate fully in Board meetings
Use their professional skills and experience to ensure that CSU is well run and efficient
Seek professional external advice where there may be a risk to the Union or where the Trustees may be in breach of their duties
Add value to the Board and the Union through generating ideas, challenging the status quo, broadening thinking, and supporting and promoting innovation and creativity

Sicrhau bod UMC yn dilyn ei Strategaeth, Gweledigaeth, a Gwerthoedd
Helpu UMC i gyflawni ei amcanion er budd aelodau
Sicrhau bod UMC yn dilyn unrhyw ddeddfwriaethau a rheoliadau perthnasol
Sicrhau nad yw UMC yn ymgymryd ag unrhyw weithgareddau allai peryglu ei sefydlogrwydd ariannol, ei aelodau neu ei enw da
Gweithio gydag Ymddiriedolwyr eraill a staff mewn modd adeiladol
Cymryd rhan yng nghyfarfodydd y Bwrdd
Defnyddio eu sgiliau a phrofiadau proffesiynol i sicrhau bod UMC yn rhedeg yn effeithiol
Chwilio am gyngor allanol proffesiynol pan fod risg i’r Undeb neu le bod Ymddiriedolwyr yn torri disgwyliadau eu rôl
Cyfrannu at y Bwrdd a’r Undeb trwy gynnig syniadau, herio arferion, meddwl ymhellach, a chefnogi a hyrwyddo arloesedd a chreadigrwydd
