We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated member of staff to work with us as a

International Programme Liaisonstudent intern on a Fixed term contract working with The Discovery Trails Team (Argentina) seeCII Global – Since 1988Job Purpose:

Applications are being invited from students with experience of planning, project management and liaison across teams.

Key Accountabilities:

This exciting opportunity will have you partaking in a wide range of responsibilities including;

  • Work with the UHI admin team to scope out available options for various activities and services during the week the Argentinians will spend in The Highlands and present their findings to the Argentine team.

  • Assist the Discovery Trails Team (Argentina) in the design process for the visit, and with local schools and youth clubs in The Highlands, especially through the Highland Council network.

  • Be available for weekly online meetings with the Discovery Trails team

  • Work with the Discovery Trails team, UHI admin team and Curriculum Leader Help to develop an accurate activity schedule for the group

  • Work with the UHI Admin team to advise on services like transport, accommodation, restaurants and attractions for the group

  • Work with the Discovery Trails team, UHI admin team and Curriculum Leader to agree a timetable of activities and to act as a guide for the visiting staff and students

  • Be available for at least 25 contact hours between 19thand 26thSeptember 2026 to assist in the delivery of the programme
Essential Criteria:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels

  • Ability to follow direction from the curriculum leader and admin staff in order to carry out tasks effectively.

  • Good basic IT knowledge including online meeting spaces

  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel

  • Ability to set and meet deadlines whilst ensuring all work is of a professional standard

  • Ability to prioritise, plan and maintain clear focus in all activities

  • Ability to work on own initiative

  • Strong customer service skills with a drive and determination to deliver results

  • Good accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to follow Health and Safety directives and procedures
