Role Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and dedicated Sports Coach to join our team at Dawn House School. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and support children and young people through high-quality physical education and swimming provision in a specialist educational setting.
Working closely with teachers, therapists, teaching assistants, residential staff, and the wellbeing team, you will play a key role in promoting pupils’ physical development, confidence, wellbeing, and enjoyment of sport.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging swimming lessons and PE sessions for pupils of varying ages and abilities.
- Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs and support pupils to achieve their personal goals.
- Lead PE sessions independently and collaboratively alongside teaching staff.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils by maintaining high standards of supervision during all sporting activities.
- Promote teamwork, confidence, resilience, and positive participation in physical education.
What we are looking for someone who:
- Passionate about inspiring children and young people through sport and physical activity.
- Experienced in delivering PE sessions and swimming lessons.
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families.
- A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Organised, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Committed to creating an inclusive environment where every pupil can succeed.
