Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist
Location: Dawn House School, Rainworth, Nottinghamshire
Salary: £38,053 – £41,839
Working pattern: Permanent contract, full-time position (35 hours/week) with part-time hours considered, Monday – Friday; 42 weeks per year (term time plus three additional weeks during the school closure period including Saturdays as required
Generous leave of 10 weeks during the school closure period.

Role Overview
As a Speech and Language Therapist at Dawn House School you will manage a specialist caseload of pupils with severe and complex speech, language and communication difficulties. Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, residential staff and families, you will assess, plan, deliver and evaluate highly individualised therapy programmes that support pupils to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and deliver therapy for a defined caseload of pupils
- Conduct assessments, differential diagnosis and outcome evaluations
- Develop and implement innovative therapy programmes
- Contribute to annual reviews, transition plans and multidisciplinary planning
- Deliver training and advice to staff, families and carers
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary educational setting
- Contribute to outreach, curriculum development and whole-school initiatives
What we are looking for:
- HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapist (RCSLT membership essential)
- Degree in Speech & Language Therapy or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with a paediatric caseload
- Experience managing complex speech, language and communication needs
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
- Strong assessment, report writing and intervention planning skills
