Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Speech and Language Therapist to join our Family Support Service as a Speech and Language Advisor.
This is a rewarding, home-based role where you will directly support families through our Advice Line, providing guidance, reassurance, and practical strategies to help children thrive.
You will also contribute to delivering of webinars, written resources, and service development.
This is an opportunity to work in a service committed to providing high quality supportive and informative advice to families with flexible working hours so some hours could be worked in the evening or at the weekend (not all though)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality advice and support to families via phone and email
- Deliver the Talking with Your Toddlerwebinar series
- Offer clear, evidence-based guidance and signposting to parents and carers
- Contribute to written resources, guidance, and digital tools
- Support data collection and evaluation of service impact
- Assist with training and supporting Advice Line volunteers
- Participate in service development and continuous improvement
What we are looking for:
- Qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with HCPC
- Recent clinical experience working with children and families
- Strong ability to build rapport quickly with parents and carers
- Experience providing advice verbally and in writing
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote team environment
