We are looking for a Special Events Coordinator to join our Fundraising team.

Title: Special Events Coordinator

Salary: £32,820 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 35 per week (standard Anthony Nolan working hours)

Location: Hybrid, with head office in Hampstead, London

Job Summary

Special Events is a growing and ambitious programme at Anthony Nolan, playing a central role in delivering our fundraising goals. This role sits within the Philanthropy and Special Events team and is key to expanding a dynamic portfolio of cultivation, stewardship and fundraising events for major donor and HNW audiences.

The postholder will support the planning and delivery of a range of special events, from established flagship events to new initiatives designed to deepen engagement with supporters and prospects. Working collaboratively across the organisation, they will oversee all aspects of event delivery, including logistics, administration, financial management and communications, ensuring events are delivered to a consistently high standard and provide an exceptional supporter experience.

With a strong focus on supporter stewardship, this role will contribute to the development of an evolving events programme that brings Anthony Nolan’s mission to life and supports patients and stem cell donors in the UK and around the world.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with colleagues across departments to plan, produce and deliver a successful programme of events which meet agreed objectives, budgets and KPIs.

  • Managing all aspects of each event including administrative, financial, logistical and communication processes, maintaining accurate records, delivering excellent customer care, and ensuring events run efficiently and professionally.

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with event attendees, internal and external stakeholders, volunteers, suppliers, sponsors and partners to build long-term support.

  • Working with the wider team to deliver current plans and budgets; and contributing to the development of future plans and budgets.

  • Ensuring accurate financial record keeping (recording and tracking all income and expenditure)

  • Supporting fundraising mechanisms at income-generating events where necessary e.g. sourcing prizes etc.

  • Working with internal teams to produce all design materials and communication campaigns.

  • Writing and producing comprehensive briefings for external suppliers, high-profile speakers, senior staff and volunteers

  • Evaluating and reporting on the success of each event and considering areas of improvement for future event planning
